★★★★★ Great fit for our family. We really enjoyed our stay here. John and Erica were great hosts. House had everything we needed and more. The area is close to everything. Loved the off street parking.
★★★★★ Awesome! particularly the very comfortable beds!! I lived in Spokane 30 years ago and in many ways miss the town and it’s environs. We made the trip back and stayed at the Reynoso’s home on the near north side. While many consider this the older part of Spokane, it has an inherent charm one will probably not find in any other part of Spokane. The home, built in the 40’s (we ascertained this from an inscription on the back steps) is comfortable and well kept. The floors are hardwood which we prefer and there is plenty of room. Our only negative is that there is only one bathroom making it a challenge for a couple at times. It has a huge backyard and is close to restaurants, gas stations, and a short drive downtown. It is a typical 40’s bungalow and John and Erica keep it up well. (The grass is cut once a week and the yard is large and a comfortable rest during the day. Yes. It is dated, but that is also part of its charm. The Reynoso’s keep the bath tissue and paper towels well supplied. Overall it’s a comfy experience and that’s what we look for when renting through Home Away. Thank you John and Erica.

★★★★★ The house was perfect, exactly as described. Everything was very clean and they have thought of all the details. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedding especially comfortable, and there was a washer and dryer with detergent provided. The location was good, it was safe and there were a lot of amenities close by. We were welcoming our new baby to the family after adopting her a few days earlier, and we couldn’t have picked a nicer place to wait for paperwork to finish! Thank you, John and Erica.

This is a charming, 1906 home in a quiet neighborhood. We liked the location due to the proximity to Gonzaga, our friend’s home, and restaurants. The house had all of the amenities that we needed. The rooms are large but kind of stark (everything is white) with very little decoration. The beds were comfortable, however, the windows in the bedrooms could stand to have some room-darkening shades. The white plastic mini blinds let in too much light to enable you to sleep in late. The clawfoot tub is quaint, but showering in it, not so much. Shower curtain makes for a very tight space to maneuver in. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a large comfortable space, away from the hustle and bustle (and construction) of downtown Spokane.

In town for event in North Spokane, both downtown and North Spokane event were easily accessible. Home was very clean, kitchen is well stocked with coffee, sugar, creamer and dry goods. Plenty of dinnerware, towels, etc. Washer and dryer in basement was convenient for family. Nearby restaurants and grocery store. Owners responded quickly when I had questions. Will definitely book again.

We really enjoyed the stay in the home. The rooms were spacious, the air conditioning effective, and the kitchen loaded with amenities. It was really nice that the house had small extras most home owners lock away from guests, including throw blankets, a lint brush, quality knives, decent toiletries and towels, etc. I will say, it was loud when there was someone else renting upstairs. An early riser upstairs woke our baby our first morning there at 5am. But that’s to be expected in an older home with beautiful, hardwood floors. We enjoyed being near Gonzaga with quick jogs to the Centennial Trail and (perhaps ironically) Donut Parade. The neighborhood is a bit borderline– every other house or so seems well-taken care of. But we always felt safe. We would stay again!

★★★★★ Our family of four (kids 14 and 17) enjoyed our stay in this home. It was clean and comfortable and was as described on the listing and in pictures. We easily rode our bikes to Gonzaga and enjoyed a longer bike ride along the river and into downtown Spokane. We took a day trip into Coeur d’lane (30 minute drive or so?). A few blocks away from the home is a school with basketball hoops (and a nice playground that we would have enjoyed when the kids were younger). We did not meet our hosts, but we were in contact with them via text message as needed. We enjoyed a nice family outing to a riverside pub (No-Li Brewhouse) mentioned by the hosts that is a couple of miles away from the home, and we easily got groceries at a nearby Safeway. For folks coming from Portland, the neighborhood felt like St. John’s to us (which is where one of us grew up and our parents/in-laws still live). There is a second AirBnB upstairs that someone rented the last night of our three-night stay in the main home. The entrances to the two areas are completely separate. We could easily hear footsteps and plumbing being used upstairs, but this is to be expected and did not interrupt our enjoyment of our stay. A side note: Our family is tall, so the twin-sized futon (the 3rd bed) would not have been a good fit for any of us. We knew this going in, and brought a Queen sized blow-up mattress from home for our son. There was plenty of room to put our mattress in the front room (and we could have easily placed it into one of the bedrooms as well). We forgot to bring linens for this mattress, but happily there were linens that came with the home that we used to dress this mattress. Lastly, I would mention that if anyone is unsteady on their feet, they would want to have a plan in mind for getting into and out of the claw foot tub for showering (this issue would not be unique to this particular home . . . it would be relevant to any home that had this charming amenity as the only showering option). We would definitely stay in this home again. Thanks!

★★★★ Lot’s of space
A well kept and simple house provided lot’s of space for my daughter’s graduation from EWU. Easily able to accommodate 5 adults and still have plenty of space to visit and enjoy our time in Spokane. There were also several eateries nearby to choose from for a bite to eat out of the house.

We were in town for a wedding and the location was perfect for where we needed to be. The house is spacious with large rooms. Erica and John were incredibly accommodating with some special requests. Even though there were a few hiccups they were quick to respond and assist. Would certainly stay here again. (Side note: floor boards are quite squeeky so if you intend to stay with a baby/child it may not be a good idea if they are a light sleeper).

★★★★★ Very cute house in a super convenient location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and having a home to come back to for relaxing rather than a stale hotel. Getting into the house was super convenient with the lock box, parking was no issue and there was great little book to help with restaurants, sights to see and items about the house. It is only about 2miles from downtown and a mile from the Centennial Trail so if you are a runner or biker (like us) it was a perfect location for exercising too! We would definitely stay here again.

We just returned from 4 days at the Baldwin flat. We attended the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournaments and the location was perfect for us. The beds are super comfortable and the home had everything we needed for a weekend stay. It is very close to good coffee, food and bars. The owners were very easy to work with and have done all of their homework to ensure that it was easy to check in, stay and checkout. Since we were there to watch basketball we had a day off between games and we found the TV to be a bit confusing to operate (internet based) but it did have all channels and we eventually found what were looking for. Overall we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks Guys!

We loved the feel and flow of this home. the old classic feel and charm is great. the weather was awesome it snowed the whole visit. the bedrooms on the main floor were awesome and more than comfortable. there was plenty of storage and area for things to hide considering it was Christmas. The bathroom was great the only complaint was that the shower curtain wants to attack you. We also rented the up stairs apartment to assure we were not sharing a house with other guests. also my daughter who is in college loved this aspect of the home. I do wish we were able to warm the home by the fire place but I think insurance restrictions may have deterred the owners from allowing the use of the fire place. Overall the entire stay at the home was exactly what we needed as we only take 1 vacation per year and we may start making Spokane a destination as my wife’s parents live about 10 mins. away from this property to the north. the property could use a little work such as paint and patch here and there but otherwise great! we did leave several items behind such as dry products or canned goods as we could not transfer them back to Arizona due to space in the vehicle. we hope the next tenants will enjoy as they may like the products left behind. I look forward to our next trip to Spokane and hopefully the property will be available for our next stay.
